a bass caught in lake washington

john took avery and owen out in his dad's canoe last night in lake washington. they all caught fish. this lucky one was brought home, cleaned and fried up for dinner. our house may never smell the same. look at avery's proud face.

adventure week at gus' school

at gus' amazing pre-school- madrona place, too - they had adventure week. this meant that they spent the whole day going on adventures in the woods. coming home completely muddy and exhausted after sledding down mud hills, jumping off trees, etc.

it was PI day at montlake, so john made 2 pies and brought gus along. he was pretty quickly the center of attention.

sounders soccer game

john got us tickets to a sounders exhibition game versus portland. the tickets were cheap (gus was free) and general admission. the kids picked 2nd row seats which were amazing until it started POURING rain. popcorn saved us for an extra 10 minutes, but the kids were soaked and freezing.

owen's project

owen was playing with these two japanese erasers and started the funniest dialogue between them. had to be recorded.

swim lessons

john has been taking the kids to seattle university for swim lessons. they are taught by members of the swim team and they are swimming like champs!

sunny saturday walk

we walked up to 15th avenue today. john took over the reigns at peggy's bakery - joe was in charge and happy to take a break. and the kids were happy to have free reign on the dessert case.
