we saved her big gift for tonight-a mini-ipod, which she was pretty excited about. followed by her favorite dessert pavlova.

today was a warm sunny day so we took the kids with michael and rachel to a pumpkin patch. we took a hay cart behind draft horses out to the field to pick our pumpkins.

ruby's slumber party

saturday night ruby had 7 girls come over. we took the bus downtown to see "high school musical 3" and then took the bus home, after singing through downtown. they slept (we all slept) 6 hours. never again. famous last words.

pumpkin prowl at the zoo

friday night ruby and owen went to a halloween party, so we took gus and avery to the zoo for a pumpkin prowl. many carved pumpkins and kids in costume.
