ruby's 11th birthday

ruby had friends over for dinner in the international district, followed by karaoke. then home for selma's cookies (yeah, john) and a sleep over. gus was asleep when the girls got home, but came running in for a cuddle in the morning.

gus' 5th birthday

gus had friends from preschool over for games - pin-the-stem on the pumpkin, duck-duck-goose and then volcano cake.

avery's 7th birthday

avery's birthday was on a gorgeous day, so we took all the kids to volunteer park for flag football. then home for cake and gifts. never had to come inside and trash the house.

owen's 9th birthday

we took the bus with owen and his buddies to the northwest film forum to see "ace ventura, pet detective." then ice cream at a local ice cream place and football in volunteer park.

at the puyallup fair

john took the kids to the fair last week. many fair goers felt the need to rent motorized chairs. maybe because of all the fried food. nice pic, no?

after spending the weekend with the rumpeltes family at the lake, we took kimmy to our favorite capitol hill spot, oddfellows for lunch. too bad it was too hot in there to eat.

the neighbor boy asked the kids to take over his route while he is out of town. so ruby, owen and gus along with emily & libby messener did it in style. notice gus on the rollerblades.
