owen, avery, gus (on my lap) and i did the beautiful ferris wheel right under the space needle.

wild river rollercoaster

the big kids made me come with them on this ride. ruby was petrified, but by the end we were all hysterical.

the rides

sunday walk

we headed out the door for our big sunday adventure. we walked through volunteer park, had pho on broadway, then had ice cream at the farmer's market. then we played soccer in the park and headed back up the hill home. whew. we ended with avery in the stroller and gus walking and then a huge nap for both of them.

after lunch we walked to cal anderson park and played a mini game of soccer where i nailed gus in the face with a ball that gave him a bloody nose. he recovered though.

blueberry picking

michael, rachel & the girls joined us for a blueberry picking trip. luckily there was a rope swing, so the kids were occupied while the adults held out for the last few berries.

ruby & mazie

ruby's best buddy from preschool, mazie lewis, was back in town from arizona. they hung out all week and there was big tears when she left.

weeknight dinner

john & the kids spent the day at the beach with rachel and the girls, so the party continued at our house for dinner.

whidbey island

avery's friend from school, abby and her parents jill and ed allen, invited us out to spend the day with them on whidbey island. the weather was amazing, we swam, put out crab pots, and had dinner with them. we stayed so late we had to take the 10:30pm ferry home.

block party

tuesday, august 5th was national night out and our block had a party. the kids have a ball because we block the street and no cars are allowed so they ride up and down all night long.
