vikka and luca's last night in seattle

seattle center fun forest

john and the kids made a list at the beginning of the summer of the things they wanted to do. the fun forest (rides & fountain) at the seattle center was the top of the list.
so last night we headed down, ending with hot fudge sundaes at dick's.

gus ran over to measure himself, only to find that he wasn't tall enough to go on the big kids ride.

owen, avery, gus (on my lap) and i did the beautiful ferris wheel right under the space needle.

the big kids made me come with them on this ride. ruby was petrified, but by the end we were all hysterical.

sunday walk

we headed out the door for our big sunday adventure. we walked through volunteer park, had pho on broadway, then had ice cream at the farmer's market. then we played soccer in the park and headed back up the hill home. whew. we ended with avery in the stroller and gus walking and then a huge nap for both of them.

after lunch we walked to cal anderson park and played a mini game of soccer where i nailed gus in the face with a ball that gave him a bloody nose. he recovered though.

blueberry picking

michael, rachel & the girls joined us for a blueberry picking trip. luckily there was a rope swing, so the kids were occupied while the adults held out for the last few berries.
