summer hike

john packed the kids up today and took them on a hike. they all packed their backpacks with bathing suits and lunch. and off they went.

after lunch the weather turned warm and the kids headed for the lake. we had to drag them out at the end of the day.

sunday we went with rachel and the girls and vikki and luca to lake sammamish. john BBQ'd pork sandwiches while the kids biked around us.

it was a beautiful night, and john had just made some bread so we headed to volunteer park for a picnic.

ruby, owen and avery went to soccer camp this week. avery was the youngest player, and the irish coaches loved him. his legs seem to be growing faster than the rest of his body.

the water was beautiful, and as we noticed we were the only ones swimming. then we found a no swimming sign as a result of the blue green algae in the water. oh well.
